Unveiling Our 1% Movement - United With 20 Volleyball Stars
Welcome to the heart of Let's Keep The Ball Flying (LKTBF), where passion meets purpose. Our 1% campaign is more than just a fundraiser; it's a movement fueled by the collective spirit of athletes and experts from around the globe.
20 distinguished volleyball athletes, representing diverse countries, have come together in a groundbreaking initiative to propel global accessibility to volleyball. These athletes aren't just players; they're visionaries, passionate about using volleyball as a tool for positive change. From Italy to Canada, from Brazil to Japan, our diverse team is united by a shared dream to make volleyball accessible for all.
Women Lead the Charge
Led by American star opposite Jordan Thompson, the women's division officially launched the movement on January 11th. The male athletes, whose names remain under wraps, are poised for a grand unveiling in the second quarter of 2024.
Embarking on a new chapter! Volleyball shaped my life, and now, giving back fills each moment with purpose. Join me in this journey! 🇺🇸 Jordan Thompson
A Global Team of Experts at Work
Simultaneously, a dynamic group of over 10 experts from all corners of the world, spearheaded by LKTBF Founder Lesley de Jonge and FIVB instructor John Kessel, is diligently crafting a specialised volleyball toolkit.
This toolkit aims to provide free global access to knowledge, gear, equipment, and mentorship, ensuring that the sport reaches every corner of the world.
What We're Doing with the Fund
Our movement revolves around a simple yet powerful idea: donating 1% of our income channeled into increasing the accessibility of volleyball in underprivileged areas. Free global access to targeted knowledge, equipment, gear, and mentorship that allows these communities to experience the joy and benefits of volleyball. But what does this mean in action?
1. Building the Toolkit:
Our dedicated team of experts is committed to crafting a toolkit that provides free global access to volleyball knowledge, equipment, gear, and mentorship.
2. Growing the Community:
The movement enters an exciting phase with the impending reveal of the male athletes. We're not just raising funds; we're building a community of like-minded individuals who believe in the transformative power of volleyball. This community is our driving force, growing stronger with each new participant.
3. Engaging with Brands:
Beyond the court, we're forging partnerships with brands that share our vision. These collaborations will amplify our impact, ensuring that the reach of our campaign extends far beyond what we can achieve alone.
Lesley de Jonge, Founder of LKTBF, calls upon athletes, staff members, clubs, sponsors, and fans to join. "Our mission is to create as much impact as we can, and your participation can create a ripple effect. Together, we can elevate communities and change lives through the power of volleyball. One per cent at a time."
